Hurricane Season Peak

Hurricane Season Peak

As we enter the month of August, we begin the climb toward the climatological peak of hurricane season – which occurs during the second week of September. During this time, storm tracks into the Gulf of Mexico are also more climatologically preferred. With that said, this is a great time to review your hurricane plans – before you need to put them into action. Know what your vulnerabilities are and how you will stay safe from ALL hurricane hazards (storm surge, damaging wind, flash flooding, and tornadoes).

Keep up with the latest information on the tropics through our office and the National Hurricane Center.
